Former Chelsea manager, Ruud Gullit has told forward, Hudson-Odoi to leave Stamford Bridge for Bayern Munich before the transfer window closes.
Gullit stated this after Hudson-Odoi scored a goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday in the FA Cup fourth round encounter.
Hudson-Odoi, who has submitted his transfer request to Chelsea, is keen to join Bayern Munich this month.
The 18-year-old had refused to commit himself to Maurizio Sarri’s side due to concerns over his lack of playing time in the first team.
The England youngster currently has less than 18 months left on his current deal with Chelsea but Gullit wants Hudson-Odoi to leave the Blues.
“Hudson-Odoi is a good player, I think he wants to play, but he has a lot of competition,” Gullit told BBC Sport.
“A lot of players are in front of him. I can understand he wants to play.
“I think Chelsea are in doubt because they see his potential but have better options at the moment.
“If it was my son, I would say go and play for Bayern. You can only get better by playing, not sitting on the bench or playing with the Under-23. You don’t get better from that.”
