Transfer: How much Arsenal have cut from wage bill after Ramsey, Cech exits revealed

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

Arsenal have slashed their wage bill by a whopping £400,000-a-week, after six players left the club, the UK Mirror reports.

Aaron Ramsey, Denis Suarez, Danny Welbeck, Petr Cech, David Ospina and Stephan Lichtsteiner have all left Arsenal this summer.

The failure to qualify for Champions League, has hit the Emirates side in the pocket and Unai Emery will only have around £45m to spend in this summer’s transfer window.

But clearing more than £400,000 cleared from the weekly wage has provided Emery with a boost.

It gives the Gunners boss extra spending power, when it comes to convincing Arsenal’s targets to join.

Ramsey has joined Juventus as a free agent, Welbeck is still without a club and Ospina has made his deal with Napoli permanent.

Cech is now Chelsea’s new Technical Director, while Suarez has returned to Barcelona after a miserable loan spell.
