Transfer: Griezmann names Premier League star he would like join Barca, predicts club to win EPL nex

Barcelona’s new signing, Antoine Griezmann, has revealed that he would like to team up with Arsenal star, Alexandre Lacazette at the LaLiga club, according to Sky Sports.

The Frenchman also backed Liverpool to win the Premier League title in the coming campaign.

Griezmann completed a £107million switch from Atletico Madrid to Barca earlier this month.

The 28-year-old had previously been linked with both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

However, his switch to Catalonia has thrown up the prospect of him linking up with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in attack.

Sky Sport quoted the player as saying that he has had the chance to move to the Premier League in the past – with United strongly linked – but he’s happy in La Liga.

“I was having a lot of fun in La Liga,” he said when discussing his transfer decision.

Griezmann added that he would love to team up with his France international colleague Lacazette at Barca.

“I would love to play with Lacazette,” said Griezmann.

“He’s a friend of mine; we played together in the national team. He’s an amazing player, has a lot of talent.”

On Liverpool’s title prospects, Griezmann added that he hoped they would lift the trophy for their fans, saying: “They deserve to win the Premier League, hopefully one day they will win it again.”
