Transfer deadline: Man United take second decision on signing Mandzukic from Juventus

Manchester United have taken a second decision to sign Striker Mario Mandzukic from Juventus as reported by Sky Sport Italy on Thursday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are said to be back in talks with the Serie A champions over a potential deal for Mandzukic today.

The Premier League giants are looking to bring in a deadline-day replacement for Romelu Lukaku as he finally closes in on his switch to Inter Milan.

DAILY POST had reported that Mandzukic had been tipped to be part of a swap deal with Juventus involving Lukaku and Paulo Dybala but that move fell through.

Mandzukic scored 10 goals in 33 appearances for Juventus last season.

The 33-year-old was not part of the plans of Juventus manager, Maurizio Sarri, for next season.

The Belgium international will complete his exit from Old Trafford after Man United agreed terms with Inter Milan.

The deal includes £12million in bonuses and this is coming after negotiations with Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello in London.

The 26-year-old Belgium striker is expected to fly to Italy and undergo a medical on Thursday.
