Ajax captain, Matthijs De Ligt has been left out of their squad for a pre-season tour of Austria, with a move to Juventus in the horizon.
“Awaiting a possible transfer, Matthijs de Ligt does not travel with the group,” a terse statement from the Dutch outfit read.
De Ligt has been linked to a number of top clubs including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool this summer.
But the Serie A champions have apparently won the race for his signature.
It is understood De Ligt had agreed to a contract with Juve, which would see him earn £10.8million per season.
The amount equates to around £230,000 per week and is nearly double what Paulo Dybala currently earns in Turin.
