Arsenal’s new signing, Dani Ceballos, has revealed how fellow Spaniard Hector Bellerin, convinced him to join the club on loan from Real Madrid..
The 22-year-old Ceballos completed a loan move to Arsenal earlier today and will spend the 2019-20 season in north London.
He told Arsenal website that he and Bellerin are good friends off the field, and that the Arsenal full-back convinced him to make the move.
“Well, as you know there are Spanish players here like Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin.
“I get on really well with Hector away from football, on a personal level.
“I told him I was thinking of joining and he told me not to think twice because this is a great city and a great club and that I was going to have a great time.
“I can’t wait to see him and say thanks for his help in getting me here.”
He further said that the presence of compatriots Unai Emery (manager), Bellerin and Monreal will help him settle quickly in London.
“I have the coach – who is Spanish – and Hector, which will help me get used to life in London.
“I need to get used to what the club expects of me and adapt as quickly as possible because that will be vital if I’m to be successful at this club.”
