Chelsea have announced that winger, Victorien Angban has joined French Ligue 1 club, Metz on a season-long loan after signing a one-year extension with the Blues.

The Blues signed the Ivory Coast international in 2015 from Stade d’Abidjan following a successful trial.

Angban has yet to make his debut for the West London club due to his lack of first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old spent the last three years at Sint-Truiden, Granada and Waasland-Beveren on loan.

Angban, who was spotted by Chelsea at age 15, was born in Abidjan.

He played for Ivory Coast at U17 and U20 level before he was promoted to the senior team in 2015.

“Victorien Angban has today signed a one-year contract extension and joined French side Metz on a season long loan.

“Congrats, and good luck Vitorien,” Chelsea wrote on their official Twitter page on Friday.
