Chelsea are set to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of attacking midfielder, Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer.
British outlet, The Sun, was quoted by the Daily Mirror reporting that the West London club are closing in on a deal to bring the 22-year-old to the Stamford Bridge, as manager, Maurizio Sarri prepares for his first full season at the club.
The report claimed that Grealish has been on Tottenham’s wish-list all summer but Spurs have so far failed to agree a deal for the England international.
The same report says that the Blues could be set to snatch Grealish from under Tottenham’s noses and that Chelsea’s legend, John Terry has urged the midfielder to move to his former club.
Chelsea will be hoping to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season as they look to try and bounce back from their disappointing campaign last season.
