Following the imminent departure of their first choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, Chelsea have lined up a shock move for Manchester City goalie, Joe Hart.
Hart is now set to replace Courtois who is bound to join Real Madrid this summer.
The Belgium No.1 has one year remaining on his contract at Chelsea and has so far proved unwilling to sign a new deal.
Real Madrid are confident of completing a £35million move for Courtois in a few days’ time.
Chelsea have also lost out in the race to sign Alisson Becker from Roma after the Brazilian opted to join Liverpool.
The Sun, Uk reports that Hart is now Chelsea’s first choice.
The England international is no longer wanted at Manchester City and had gone on loan twice since manager Pep Guardiola took over at the Etihad Stadium.
The 31-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his City deal, where he earns around £100,000-a-week.
City are desperate to get his hefty wages off the books and would consider a bid in the region of £5m for the goalkeeper.
