Napoli have confirmed that defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, has signed a new 5-year contract.
Koulibaly was linked with Chelsea last summer, and those links re-emerged when manager, Maurizio Sarri took charge at Stamford Bridge.
However, Sportmole is reporting that Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed the deal on Saturday, after the Serie A side lost 5-0 to Liverpool in a friendly in Dublin.
“Koulibaly, he has renewed with us for another five seasons,” De Laurentiis said.
“He is probably the best defender in the world. For him I have refused €90m (£80m) from three clubs because I do not sell.”
Koulibaly has been at Napoli since the summer of 2014.
The 27 year old has so far played 164 times in all competitions, scoring eight times.
