Chelsea star, Olivier Giroud has made a final decision on his stay at the West London side.
The player said he was ready to snub a move to Marseille to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
Giroud joined Chelsea from Arsenal last January but is already being strongly linked with a departure.
Giroud who featured in all seven of France’s World Cup matches, has held talks with Ligue 1 outfit, Marseille.
Daily Mail reports on Monday that the Frenchman has decided to stay at Chelsea and compete the No.9 spot with Morata in new manager, Maurizio Sarri’s starting line-up.
While Chelsea have been in Australia and France preparing for the 2018-19 campaign, Giroud has enjoyed some time off following his country’s World Cup triumph.
Marseille are not the only club to express interest in signing Giroud. Spanish club, Atletico Madrid which is also an admirer of the former Arsenal star showed interest.
