CD Leganes have made a €4.5 million (N1.76billion) bid for Chelsea’s longest-serving player, Kenneth Omeruo.
According to Marca, the La Liga side are interested in signing the Super Eagles defender in this summer transfer window.
The Spanish newspaper is reporting that Chelsea has valued Omeruo at €8million.
Leganes manager, Mauricio Pellegrino, had already requested the club to sign Omeruo, on a permanent basis after his excellent performance while on loan at the club last season from Chelsea.
DAILY POST had reported that Omeruo, who is not in the plans of Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, for the upcoming season is currently the longest-serving player at Chelsea following the departure of Tomas Kalas from Stamford Bridge earlier this summer.
Omeruo joined the Blues from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Sunshine Stars, in January 2012.
He has remained loyal to Chelsea, despite failing to make his official debut after seven years and six months.
Omeruo has been sent out on loan to five different clubs: ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa, Alanyaspor and Leganes
The 25-year-old, who is contracted to Chelsea for another one and a half years, has been linked with a permanent departure from the club this summer.
