Transfer: Chelsea ready to make Kepa Arrizabalaga world’s most expensive goalkeeper

Chelsea amd Athletic Bilbao are in advanced negotiations over goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old would cost the Blues £71.6m, which would be a world-record fee for a keeper.

It is understood that Chelsea plan to fly the player to London on Wednesday and have him train on Thursday.

This is with the hope he could make his debut in their Premier League season-opener against Huddersfield on Saturday.

Kepa will replace Real Madrid-bound Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois has informed the club he will run down the final year of his contract, if he is not granted his desire to return to Spain.
