Chelsea have confirmed that Nigeria’s most expensive wing-back, Ola Aina, will leave Stamford Bridge for Torino on a permanent move this summer’s transfer window.
The Blues made this known in a statement posted on the club’s official website on Tuesday.
The statement reads: “Everyone at Chelsea Football Club would like to thank Ola for his services and we wish him the best of luck for the next stage in his career.”
At the moment, Aina becomes the most expensive Nigerian fullback in history.
He broke the record previously held by Celestine Babayaro, who was bought by Chelsea for £2.25 million in 1997.
Aina spent last season on loan with Torino, playing 30 games as they finished seventh on the table.
He is currently in the camp of the Super Eagles getting set for 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
