Arsenal’s hopes of signing Kieran Tierney have had a boost, as Celtic moved closer to signing left-back Rico Henry, according to the UK Sun.
The 22-year-old impressed for Brentford last season and could be the ideal replacement if Tierney gets his Premier League move.
The Bees are looking at Derby’s Max Lowe and Vitesse Arnhem’s Max Clark as potential targets should Henry leave.
Tierney’s move to the Gunners looked to have collapsed last week, as the Gunners refused to increase their initial down payment and fell £5m short of Celtic’s demands.
However, Tierney has told the Scottish champions he wants the chance to play in the Premier League and they are willing to grant his wish if Arsenal pay a larger proportion of the fee up front.
