Belgium international goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, has agreed terms with Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
The Champions League winners are now waiting for the west London Club to give green light for his transfer.
Courtois will be out of contract next summer and free to leave the club for nothing, with Chelsea set to cash in after he refused signing an extension.
Belgian newspaper, Het Laatste Nieuws reports that Courtois’ move back to the Spanish capital is nearing completion and he has already agreed a five-year contract.
The goalkeeper will also earn £11.5million per season, a significant increase on his £7.2m-a-year deal at Chelsea, according to the newspaper.
The 26-year-old is currently holidaying in Tenerife while waiting for a phone call to inform him that Chelsea have accepted Real Madrid’s bid.
The shot-stopper is ready and waiting for the go-ahead to fly from Tenerife to Madrid to undergo a medical and sign his contract.
However, Chelsea want to sign a replacement for Courtois, before sanctioning the sale, and are preparing a late move to hijack Liverpool’s deal for Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
