Barcelona have given up their bid for Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba.
Barca have been eager to lure the World Cup star from Old Trafford having been alerted to his discontent at the club.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from United in recent weeks.
The France international and United’s manager, Jose Mourinho fell out several times last season.
Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, presented an offer from Barca earlier this week which was rejected by United.
However, Sport is reporting that the La Liga champions are now frustrated by persistent rebuffs from the Red Devils.
The report claimed that the Catalan club will instead move for Ajax midfielder, Frenkie De Jong.
De Jong is expected to cost around €50 million (£45m/$58m).
