Transfer: Barcelona president contacts Ousmane Dembele over his future at Camp Nou

Barcelona’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has personally assured forward, Ousmane Dembele, that he still has a future at Camp Nou.

Dembele has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish giants to join Premier League side, Arsenal this summer.

The France international has been concerned over his role at Barca, following the club’s decision to sign Brazilian winger, Malcom from Roma.

The 21-year-old was signed in a £135.5 million deal from Borussia Dortmund last summer, but endured a difficult first season with the Catalan club.

According to RAC1, Bartomeu has spoken to Dembele and has promised the forward that he will be staying at Camp Nou this season.

The report also claimed that several Premier League clubs will submit offers to Barcelona before the transfer window closes on Thursday, but the La Liga champions are poised to reject all bids.

Dembele has returned early from his summer break to begin training with Barca after helping France win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia last month.
