Barcelona manager, Ernesto Valverde has finally agreed to sell midfielder, Ivan Rakitic, in this summer’s transfer window.
According to Cadena Ser, Valverde is willing to sell the Croatian international to another club this summer as long as he can bring in a replacement.
DAILY POST had reported on Tuesday that Manchester United have made an move to sign Rakitic from Barcelona.
Man United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is keen on improving his options in central midfield this summer, following the departure of Ander Herrera.
Rakitic’s current deal at Barca will expire in June 2021.
The 31-year-old has already been told by the La Liga champions that they will not improve his current deal.
Rakitic was also wanted by Inter Milan, but the Serie A club have lowered their interest since the arrival of Antonio Conte.
