Transfer: Ancelotti speaks on Koulibaly joining Man United

Napoli manager, Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that his star defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, is not keen on leaving Italy.

Reports this week claimed Koulibaly was desperate to leave Serie A after being the victim of racist abuse in Italy.

Manchester United are considered to be in the fore of completing the transfer, with Napoli valuing the centre-back at over £90million.

But Ancelotti dismissed the latest speculation and denied that Koulibaly was unhappy in Italy.

“In England they write that Koulibaly can leave because of the problem of racism, I do not think so,” Metro UK quoted him as saying.

“Koulibaly is happy in Naples, he’s upset like others, but it will not be a trigger for a goodbye.

“He never showed it, he wants to stay in Naples and in Italy, a country he likes very much.’

United failed in an attempt to lure Koulibaly away from Napoli during the last summer transfer window, as the Italian club claimed they rejected a £95m offer from the Red Devils.
