Tottenham set to hijack Iheanacho from Leicester City

Tottenham Hotspur has emerged top contender in the race to sign Super Eagles forward, striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Nigerian international has been linked with a departure from the Manchester City.

Reports earlier in the week suggested that Leicester City had secured a deal for the youngster worth a fee in the region of £25 million, having beaten off interest from West Ham United.

However, Daily mail UK reports that Tottenham are set to hijack the deal as manager Mauricio Pocehttino tends to use the interest of Manchester City in Kyle Walker as leverage to bring Iheanacho to White Hart Lane.

The North London club have been touted as a potential destination for City’s talented young goal scorer in the past, while Spurs are also said to be keen to offload Walker as quickly as possible.
