Christmas, definitely, is the most exciting time of the year. Cities and countries around the world get into the festive spirit, with millions of lights illuminating the sky, Christmas carols all around, Christmas trees on every corner and the expectation and excitement of opening presents with your family.
Every city has its own unique Christmas traditions, from the traditional snowy Christmas morning in Canada, a sunny Christmas in Africa or leaving your socks and shoes on window sills to be filled with presents in the Philippines.

1. Las Vegas, USA
The city that is most famous for its entertainment. The whole city becomes a Christmas display during the December months. Every hotel get decorated in the festive spirit, even the famous fountains in front of the Bellagio dance to the rhythm of Christmas carols.
This city will never disappoint and will always go the extra mile to create a winter wonderland in the middle of the desert, where nothing is impossible and everything is possible.
2. Kelowna, Canada
If you are the type of person who likes to celebrate Christmas with a traditional touch, then Canada is the place to be. With its snowy winters and cold weather, you will not find a better place to wear that ridiculous family Christmas sweaters and sit around the fire place to celebrate Christmas as a family.
And with its snowy weather, a snow man might just be the perfect thing to build and take a great family photo with.
3. Key West, Florida
You can’t get any more laid back than Key West. Warm temperatures, beautiful beaches, and a crowd of people who know how to have fun makes Key West a good choice to spend Christmas.

4. Cape Town, South Africa
Why not do an African Christmas? Instead of huddling around fires and Christmas trees, why not go into the outdoors to celebrate the holiday in the sunshine. Christmas does however still come with crackers, paper hats and presents – along with the traditional Christmas meal with all the trimmings, but it’s often served al fresco as children swim and play outside.

The great thing about Christmas in Australia, is that it falls in the middle of summer. Melbourne’s Christmas Festival transforms the city in a holiday wonderland with massive decorations, festive events and parades – minus the snow, of course.
After the sun goes down, why not head to the Melbourne Town Hall where colourful video projections transform the building into ever-changing Christmas scenes
8. Singapore.
This is certainly a unique place to spend Christmas. But that doesn’t mean you won’t feel the spirit. The city goes all out for the holidays. Bright lights and decorations adorn the Orchard Road shopping district, transforming it into one of the best Christmas markets in the world.
There are also numerous festive events along the Singapore River. Why not stick around for the New Year’s fireworks at Marina Bay?
9. Gramado, Brazil
Did you know that Gramado is Brazil’s Christmas capital? Located just south of Rio, it is the home of Natal Luz – The Lights of Christmas festival. The festival started small in 1986 and now is Brazil’s largest Christmas festival. Visitors are treated to parades, tree lightings, live music and classic holiday plays.
10. Puerto Rico
Salsa dancing for Christmas? Yes, please! Port Rico makes a great Christmas destination. Since it’s located in the Caribbean, it’s warm and friendly. Lounge on quiet beaches, hit the links or explore San Juan’s scorching nightlife. Christmas is celebrated for weeks across the island, with big feasts and brightly lit festivals in towns large and small.
