The All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos State Chapter on Tuesday berated the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state for calling on the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, to re-visit the case against its National leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The Publicity Secretary of the chapter, Joe Igbokwe in a statement said APC’s call was targeted at tarnishing Tinubu’s image.
Igbokwe alleged that the trial which happened during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan was instigated by PDP.
He viewed the call, “as silly rants of frustrated losers desperately splashing mud to tar others when they are facing weighty corruption cases.”
“Lagos PDP and indeed the entire PDP are suffering acute Tinubu-phobia borne out of the fact that Asiwaju Tinubu constitutes the greatest nightmare for PDP rank and file given his prosecution of the defeat of the PDP last year,” Igbokwe said.
