Tinubu meets Buhari behind closed doors second time this week

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, again met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.

Tinubu had on Wednesday, October 31, paid a similar visit to the State House.

During his last visit, the former Governor of Lagos dismissed the call for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiohmole, insisting that party supremacy must be respected.

According to Tinubu, Oshiomhole has so far not violated APC constitution or engaged in any anti-party activity that will warrant his resignation or removal from office.

Tinubu’s comments on Oshiohmole have continued to attract comments from some aggrieved members of the APC including Governor Rochas Okorocha, who spoke to State House correspondents on Thursday after he met with President Buhari at the State House.

Okorocha, who reacted to Tinubu’s approval of Oshiomhole’s leadership style, urged that the national chairman be called to order to respect the rule of law, do the right and respect court orders.

Tinubu, however, declined to comment on the matter after his meeting on Friday with the President.
