The majority leader of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Churchill Adedipe has debunked stories making the rounds that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the immediate past governor of the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi gave the state lawmakers the sum of N50 million each and the speaker N100 million to facilitate the impeachment of the new Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
Churchill spoke at a press conference in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, adding that the House of Assembly has no plans of impeaching the governor.
The majority leader said the Assembly was ready to work with the governor in the interest of peace and the people of the state.
It would be recalled that Samuel Ajibola, a PDP lawmaker in the state, had said in an interview that the 19 APC members of the state House of Assembly were given money by the national leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu to impeach Fayose.
