Lagos areas of Oshodi, Maryland and Costain are presently in turmoil.
This is as hoodlums, using guns, axes, machetes and other dangerous weapons have taken over the areas.
DAILY POST gathered that as early as 6am, the hoodlums had taken position at Charity Bus Stop.
They had hoods over their heads and attacked those heading to work.
There was chaos as drivers quickly discharged their passengers and fled in horror, with some running into themselves, causing gridlock and extreme fear.
Shop owners quickly shut down as the thugs moved further into Oshodi, shooting sporadically and attacking people.
Residents say they had been told some days back not to open as there would be a rally and that they must attend.
Policemen, acting on a tip-off had on Wednesday issued a warning that there would be violence on Thursday and had arrested some suspected hoodlums in the area.
