Three release clauses included in Neymar’s new five-year deal with Barcelona

Neymar has signed a new five-year deal with Barcelona, the club confirmed on Friday.

The Brazilian has three buyout clauses included in the contract which will expire in 2021. The value is fixed at €200 million for the first year of the deal, €222m for the second and €250m for the remaining three years.

His decision to sign the deal, ends months of speculation over the 24-year-old’s future. He has recently been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Neymar is expected to visit Barcelona on July 15 for a formal presentation, before he joins up with Brazil ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games
