What may result to another round of religious violence in Kano state has occurred as 3 persons were feared killed in a religious attack that erupted this morning in Bichi, a community outside the ancient city of Kano.
Those in the area say a Christian man had entered a market in the area, wearing a fabric that has inscription which some Muslims considered blasphemous to Prophet Mohammed.
The source also said that many houses and business premises were burnt down, as residents fled for fear of being attacked by irate youths in the area.
Already, some Joint Task Force (JTF) officers and policemen drafted from the Kano State Police Command have been detailed to the area to avoid further breakdown of law and order.
The exact casualty or injured persons is yet to be ascertained.
The country has in recent years witnessed several religious crisis that has claimed hundreds of lives.
