Three feared dead, 13 injured as electric pole falls on ‘Danfo’ in Lagos (PHOTO)

Three persons lost their lives on Wednesday while many were injured after an electric pole fell on a commercial vehicle in Lagos.

The accident happened between Ilasa and Itire area of the state.

DAILY POST gathered that the timely intervention of rescuers which included policemen from Ilasa and Itire Divisions, officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), as well as fire fighters prevented the situation from getting worse.

“Many persons were injured and 3 persons dead. The accident was caused by a pole which fell on a moving commercial vehicle. Our policemen are on the ground,” a police officer, who was part of the rescue team told newsmen at the scene.

Meanwhile, a text message to Adesina Tiamiyu, General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA) was not replied at the time of this report.
