Three farmers were on Thursday arraigned before a senior Magistrate court sitting in Katsina for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl.
The accused, Yahuza Musa, 20, Tasiu Abubakar, 20 and 20-year-old Sadiq Isyaku, who all reside at Dakiya Village in Safana Local Government Area of the State were arraigned before Senior Magistrate Nafisa Bagiwa on a one-count charge of rape.
According to the prosecutor, Insp Hashimu Musa, said the accused persons committed the offence on June 11 at about 11.30 a.m.
Musa told the court that the incidence was lodged at Safana Police Division by one Isa Ali of Kitaki Village in Safana Local Government Area of the state.
According to the prosecutor, Ali told the police that his daughter, alongside her three sisters, went to purchase mango at Dakiya Village when the accused persons accosted the girls at a bush path where they pushed the victim to the ground.
He added that the first suspect, Musa held the hand of his daughter while Abubakar and Isyaku ripped off her dress before taking turns to rape her.
