The Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, has vowed that those who burnt his television studio wouLd not go unpunished.
Igbinedion stated in Benin City while inspecting the burnt studio yesterday.
According to him, it was senseless for anybody to attribute the cause of the fire to power surge.
The respected Benin Chief also disclosed that he received several threats, via text messages and telephone calls bordering on a possible attack, which he said he reported to security agencies in the state, adding that though he does not make profit from the TV station, he decided to fund its operations out of his desire to educate and enlighten the people about happenings in the state.
He, however, pledged to build a new digital television studio within 60 days.
DAILY POST recalls that the television studio of the Independent Television, owned by Igbinedion was gutted by fire about two weeks ago.
