There will be a £200m footballer in three or four years – Pogba’s agent, Raiola

Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has claimed that football will see its first £200million player in three or four years.

Raiola oversaw the £89m world-record transfer of Pogba, from Juventus to Manchester United this summer.

The Italian is believed to have pocketed an astonishing £20m from the deal.

He has now said that very soon, a club will be willing to pay as much as £200m for a footballer.

“How the economy is evolving, especially in the Premier League, we’re not too far away in the next three, four years from £200m,” he said on talkSPORT .

“Probably a Brazilian, because they add something special. Probably a wonder-child, the new Messi, the new Neymar will for sure make £200m.

“I don’t think it’s so important, people affect that £200m and don’t see what’s behind it. If someone’s giving me £200m, it’s because they’re making £201m.

“It can be an Englishman also. It depends what is the interest.

“Behind football nowadays, there’s an industry going on. It’s not anymore the club of your city that was only there to provide some football games – it’s a game with money inside. It’s the best team game in the world and there are economic interests and player’s became artists on the stage. And that’s how it is.”
