Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, has heaped praises on Lionel Messi for his goal scoring exploits against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
Enrique says one can always count on the Argentine captain to deliver when it matters most.
Messi was on target as Barcelona defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Vicente Calderon in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored Barca’s second goal in the 33rd minute after Luis Suarez opened the scoring, powering home a thunderous strike in off the post.
Enrique told reporters after the game, “It’s in big, special games like this that Messi shines.
“There aren’t many words left to describe him. It’s in big games that we see the best of Messi.”
