Theo Walcott struck after just 20 seconds at Loftus Road, to ensure Arsenal claimed a crucial 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers, in their battle to play Champions League football next season.
The England international, latched on to a smart Mikel Arteta pass, to poke the ball past Julio Ceasar, scoring his 20th of the season and Arsenal’s fastest Premier League goal of all-time.
The win takes the Gunners to third position, one point ahead of fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspurs, who defeated Southampton 1-0, thanks to another stunning goal from Gareth Bale. Spurs will face Chelsea in what has been dubbed a Champions League play-off, at Stamford Bridge next week.
