The PDP-led government has failed Nigerians – Baderinwa

Mr. Adelani Baderinwa, a member of the All Progressives Congress and a Federal House of Representatives aspirant for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency, Osun State, has warned Nigerians against the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan. He also cautioned Nigerians against retaining PDP in power come 2015. Adelami was speaking in an interview with newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun state capital on Tuesday, 14th October.

Baderinwa, condemned the 16 years of the PDP’s rule at the federal level, saying it will forever remain a bad record in the history of Nigeria.

“It is not possible for Nigerians to take the option of voting PDP again because returning the PDP will further spell doom for the country.

“There won’t be any justifications for this resentment if the PDP-led democratic government of 16 years had done what is right. In fact, nobody will have the gut to talk negatively about them.

“But because they have failed Nigerians in such a glaringly painful manner and that they do not feel any qualms about it, it is enough to tell Nigerians the truth, and the way things are. Nigerians live in poverty, want and lack. They do not have access to basic infrastructure with which to live comfortably.”

Baderinwa went ahead to point that the PDP led government had failed in so many ways, especially on security and economy, condemning the ongoing campaign for ther re-election of President Jonathan.

“The PDP-led federal executive has reduced the business of government to a joke legislature, which is supposed to regulate things dispassionately and provide the checks and balances, seem to be more interested in the protection of the fast-sinking PDP.

“The impunity in the country has taken greater dimension. The political sphere is now dominated by a class of those who have sufficient brawn to beat up high court judges and cause disruption of court proceedings in the supposedly hallowed and sacred court chambers.

“They want people that are disciplined; they want a party that will stabilise the economy of the country and redeemed her lost glory. I want to be part of the change and that is why I am aspiring for the membership of the Federal House of Representatives, to enhance good governance.”

“The President had concentrated on getting a second term mandate than working out good governance. He has succeeded in achieving far below expectations and it is certain Nigerians are not going to vote him for that,” he said.
