Jose Mourinho has debunked speculations linking him with an imminent exit as coach of Real Madrid.
The 50-year-old is reported to have reached an agreement with the Spanish giants, which will see him pocketing a hefty pay-off, before he departs at the end of the season.
Despite the fact that the former Chelsea boss admits that it is hard to be Portuguese in Spain, he said those reports are “nonsense”.
“That’s nonsense,” he told RTP1. “I have not agreed or signed anything which says I am to leave Real Madrid. The group at Real Madrid are as good as any other that I have had.
“I don’t read the Spanish press, I don’t watch Spanish television. It’s hard to be Portuguese in Spain. Nothing affects me, nothing disturbs me, nothing motivates more than my own drive.
“I never felt that being Portuguese was either positive or negative in England or Italy.”
The outspoken and controversial manager, insists he is focused to win the La Decima for the Blancos, but says there are five teams who can win the trophy too.
“We can win the Champions League,” he said. “There are at least five candidates to win the Champions League.”
