DailyPost can confirm that at least 7 people have been killed and others seriously injured in this morning suicide attack on St. Rita’s Catholic church in Kaduna State.

Kaduna State is one of the Northern states that has been battling with the Islamist Boko Haram since it began its campaign against non Islam as they purportedly held.

The affected church building is said to have been badly damaged, and the fence pulled down completely.

Currently, the state government through the Governor’s spokeperson has called for peace, begging christians not to retaliate as that could be terrible for the state.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Emergency Management Agency, NEMA had disclosed that a vehicle taken to the scene of the incident was attacked by Christian youth, destroying one of its windows.

Information reaching us indicates that 2 other people have been killed in a reprisal attack.

Till this moment, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

St. Rita’s church is located in the Malali neighbourhood of Kaduna city.
