There is serious tension in the city of Warri, Delta State as violence marred the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS (Delta Zone) elections.
The incident left many students seriously injured while some were arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force, DAILY POST can report.
The real cause of the violence is still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
Policemen drafted to Dom-Domingos College, venue of the election shot into air to disperse the violent students who attacked each other with dangerous weapons like battle axe, bottles, daggers and others.
The Police whisked some of the students away from the venue in NANS’ official bus before arresting others.
The battle between the students is so fierce as it caused serious fear amongst motorists along Edjeba road.
