A Kano Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday remanded an 18-year-old boy, Abdulbasi Usaman for allegedly having anal sex with an 8-year-old boy.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Pogu Lale, said that one Mohammed Auwal of Kadawa Dorayi Quarters in Kano reported the case at the Dorayi Babba Police Division in Kano.
The Prosecutor alleged that the accused lured the 8-year-old boy into an uncompleted building and had unlawful anal intercourse with him.
The accused, who resides at Unguwar Wambai, Dorayi Babba Quarters, Kano, is facing a count charge of unnatural offence.
The Magistrate, Mr Muhammad Jibril in his ruling remanded the accused in prison and adjourned the case until Oct. 9 for mention.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The offence contravened Section 284 of the Penal Code.
