Teenage girl arraigned for stealing jewelry worth N5m

One Mary Ogah, a teenager was on Wednesday dragged before a Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ikeja, for allegedly stealing gold jewellery worth N5 million.

According to the police prosecutor, the accused carried out the offence at Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja area of Lagos.

Ogar was arraigned on a two count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The suspect however pleaded not guilty to the charges when read.

Consequently, Ogar was granted bail by Magistrate Abimbola Komolafe with the sum of N100, 000, adding that she must produce a surety who is blood related with evidence of tax and verifiable address.

Komolafe adjourned the case till April 30.
