Tambuwal meets Kaduna delegates, promises focused, visionary leadership

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant and governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has promised to provide purposeful and visionary leadership that will unite the entire country.

Speaking while addressing party supporters and delegates in preparatory to the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, Tambuwal enjoined delegates to elect the right aspirant with the right vision that will addresses the challenges facing the country.

While assuring Nigerians of changing the face of governance if voted, the aspirant explained how he intends to promote good governance, transparency and rule of law.

“If given the mandate, my administration will be committed to the development of science and technology in Nigeria. We shall promote wealth creation and ensure a robust economy,” he assured.

Tambuwal said Kaduna was home to him and remained a top centre of politics in Nigeria adding, “Kaduna is a top place for politics in Nigeria and the capital of Northern Nigeria. Though you have an aspirant from here who is one of the leaders of our party, but I am here to campaign and exchange pleasantries with you.

“I thank you for the warm reception accorded me when I arrived in Kaduna and the state party secretariat, my records speak for me. We are not promoting religious or sectional interests, we are fair to all.”

Chairman of Kaduna State PDP, Mr. Felix Hassan Hyet, said that everybody from the north looking for presidency was accepted by the people of Kaduna.

“We want to tell you that we don’t discriminate aspirants, you are our own and we would ensure that we support you.

”Just last week, during the gubernatorial primaries in the state, we had 10 aspirants. We assured them of justice and it was held free and fair, and no petition has come up.

“We appeal to the national to ensure a free and fair, after the emergence of the party’s candidate, campaigns will no longer be for the candidate but the party will go from door-to-door campaign.”
