Tailor sent to prison for stoning vulcanizer to death

A 34-year-old man, Saheed Adekunle has been remanded in prison for allegedly killing a vulcanizer, Sunday Oderinde.

Adekunle was arraigned at the magistrate court in Osogbo, by the police on Thursday.

Police prosecutor, Duro Adekunle told the court that the accused person committed the crime on the 8th of March, 2017.

Adekunle said the accused person killed the deceased by hitting his head with a stone.

He said the offence committed by the accused person is contrary to Section 316(1) and punishable under Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 34, volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.

The incident occured at Sabo in Osogbo, Osun State.

Magistrate Adenike Olowolagba ordered that the accused person be remanded at Ilesa prison.

He adjourned the case till the 15th of May, 2017 for further hearing.
