Swaziland coach, Harris Bulungu, has admitted that the changes made by Sunday Oliseh to his team, disrupted his game plan.
The Super Eagles defeated Bulungu’s team 2-0 in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, progressing to the next round of the 2018 World Cup qualifying series.
Oliseh threw a curveball in his selection, dropping John Obi Mikel, Godfrey Oboabona and Elderson Echiejile. Instead, NFPL stars Paul Onobi, Chima Akas and Austin Oboroakpo started.
“I believe the Eagles played a better game today than the first leg. They had very fast midfielders and were very exceptional today,” Bulungu admitted, adding that “They changed their tactics too by changing some players we thought they would use again just like the initial leg in Lobamba.
“We had planned our strategy to explore the Eagles weaknesses in the midfield and the defense because of the way they were very slow in the first leg but the Eagles’ coaches changed that and this unsettled us,” the Swaziland coach stated.
