The body of a teenage boy with hunchback was Tuesday morning discovered in an uncompleted building in Delta State.
The deceased, popularly called Odiriverere (hunchback), was suspected to have been murdered by suspected ritualists at Kokori in Ethiope East Local Government area of the state on Monday night.
A resident, simply identified as Omoefe told DAILY POST that the teenager was very popular in the area.
According to Omoefe, “This is ’ember month and so many strange things are happening.
“It is obvious ritualists killed Verere because there is this saying that hunchbacks dey move market.”
Omoefe added that the boy, until his death, was last seen at about mid-day on Monday.
Our correspondent gathered that the teenager was stripped naked before he was killed.
The suspected ritualists mutilated the hunchback.
Contacted, the state Police spokesperson, Celestina Kalu said the command was yet to receive a report on the incident, but a police source at the Kokori Division told our reporter that the corpse had been evacuated and investigations were ongoing.
