Suspected herdsmen in army uniforms attack farmer in Abuja

A farmer in Tika village, Kuje Area Council of Abuja, has been attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen and inflicting injuries on him in the process.

It was gathered that the unknown assailants attacked the victim while he was on his farm working.

The gunmen decked in military uniform attacked the man after he allegedly refused to give them water to drink.

According to an eyewitness, the assailants left the water container behind, adding that the victim was rescued by a neighbour who found him in a pool of his blood.

The farmer, it was learnt was rushed to the hospital where he is receiving some medical attention

The Rubochi Divisional Police Officer refused to comment on the unfortunate incident. An officer who spoke on the condition of anonymit, however said that the Police were investigating the matter.
