Some suspected members of a cult group at the Polytechnic Ibadan on Friday killed a student of the institution identified as Micheal Adeleke Olalade.
DAILY POST learnt on Saturday that Obalade, an ND 1 student of the Department of Public administration was killed Friday afternoon.
His lifeless body was found inside The Polytechnic Ibadan Nursery and Primary School located within the premises of the institution by some passersby.
The school is close to Department of Music and halls where students are writing the ongoing second semester examination.
A student of the institution on condition of anonymity told journalists that the deceased was probably lured into where he was killed because they heard no gun shot around the area at the time of the incident.
“Some students where reading in that primary school premises when the incident happened and no gunshot was heard during the operation. They used bottle and knife to stabbed him in the neck and chest”.
His corpse, DAILY POST learnt, has been taken away by the security department of the institution.
All efforts to reach the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Alhaji Adewole Soladoye proved abortive as at the time of filling this report.
