Nigeria’s senior women team the Super Falcons, have arrived in Vancouver ahead of their last group game against former world champions USA on Tuesday.
The African champions touched down on Saturday aboard a chartered aircraft around 11am local time and were drivejn to their Coast Coal Harbour Hotel – the same hotel where the Americans are staying.
Coach of the team Edwin Okon, was keen to stress that they have put behind their loss to Australia and were looking forward to picking up all three points and qualifying for the next round.
“Let’s put the defeat against Australia behind us and be focused on picking the maximum points against USA. We can do it only if we believe. This is our last chance of qualifying from the group and we have to make it count,” Okon said.
The ladies have already begun training ahead of the match.
