Super Eagles will win in Zambia – Rohr

Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has declared that his team will pick up all three points, when they take on Zambia in a 2018 World Cup qualifier in Ndola on Sunday.

The Nigeria senior national team, has been rocked by injuries and withdrawals, but the 63-year-old assured that there is enough quality in the squad to secure a win.

Rohr can boast of a full house in training, as the Eagles intensify preparations in camp ahead of the clash.

“I’m happy with the preparation because most of the players have arrived and I’m happy we have good training condition,” Rohr told media on Wednesday in Abuja.

“I’m happy to work with a new and young team because we have a lot of younger players here with some local players here too.

“We are going to Zambia to win the game, though it would be very difficult.

“All the four teams in the group can hope to be the best. Of course we have a look on the Zambia team because they have good players; we focus on our team and have good preparation and hope everybody work well.

“We know that in Zambia, we are going to have a difficult pitch like we saw against Kenya.

“Unfortunately, we are missing some players due to injury, but I’m happy we have some local players and I think it is a good thing to show everybody that local players too could have their chance to come into the team.

“Well, we are missing Balogun, Ighalo and others, but we also still have others players in the team and they also have a chance to show their potentials and qualities.”
