Super Eagles to play Liberia next week

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

The Super Eagles will play Liberia in a friendly in Monrovia next week, after their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles this weekend, the team announced on Friday.

Nigeria had originally been scheduled to play Saudi Arabia in a friendly, but the fixture was cancelled because of logistics.

The Amaju Pinnick led-NFF were unable to get the negotiation process over the line, because of the leadership crisis in the football house, that has eventually been sorted.

However, the NFF have now made arrangements for the Eagles to partake in a friendly before the players depart to their various clubs.

Following the conclusion of the AFCON game against Seychelles, the team will take a flight directly to Liberia where they will face their host in Monrovia on Tuesday, September 11.
