Players and officials of the Super Eagles will now fly out of Abuja Saturday morning, on a chartered flight for their 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Zambia.
The Nigerian delegation was initially scheduled to depart on Friday.
However, media officer of the team, Toyin Ibitoye, has said: “We will now leave for Zambia on early Saturday morning. It is a direct flight and it will be five hours by air.
“The coaches have thought it out, they want us to train as many times as possible in Abuja and also rest well before match day.
“It won’t be counter-productive, we will get there in good time, rest well and have a feel of the pitch before we play.”
